This last week I got the opportunity to go see a new hairdresser named Jeanna at her salon in Orange, CA, called Salon9. My hair has a history of being difficult, so I get nervous when I go to see someone new. I have naturally boring, straight up BROWN hair. Some girls have beautiful dark brown hair or light golden brown, but mine is brown like a brown crayon. So I've been on this journey to being blonde since I was in community college, when the year before I had died my hair to a dark brown from a box at home (the ultimate hair sin). I've had weird streaks in my hair, blonde weaves, and attempted blondes that have turned slightly orange. So I was understandably anxious when going to Jeanna for the first time.
It turns out there was no reason to be nervous, because Jeanna is actually a super talented hair goddess who made my hair look amazing! (One look at her Instagram, @playwithmy_hair, and you can see that!)
I was in DESPERATE need of a haircut, and she took off my dead ends without taking too much off, which is the ultimate dream haircut (we've all had those times when we've asked for 1 inch to be taken off and they take 4).
And she left me with this beautiful, blended balayage with more highlights around my face, which was exactly what I asked for. Not to mention she is super easy to talk to and all around awesome!
